To make the site URL easily readable the domain name will be highlighted in black and the remaining URL of the page will be faded displayed in gray. Note that the secured pages are excluded from this update and will display “https://” as before. The concept was originally introduced in Chrome Browser.

Firefox 7 introduces a new backend animation rendering to speed up canvas operations for users running firefox on Windows. Firefox 7 uses hardware acceleration via Direct2D for these HTML5 animations. Windows users will notice a great improvement in canvas rendering.

Instant Firefox Sync:

Firefox Sync performance is improved on Firefox 7.  The new bookmarks and passwords are immediately syced with the Mozilla servers. The new bookmarks or passwords are instantly available across your various devices or laptop.

The new telemetry addon in Firefox 7 lets users to participate in making firefox better, the addon will send anonymized memory usage statistics and browser performance behaviour so that Mozilla team can identify and work on problems.

I wish it can offer a good performance. I have been a Firefox fan but the recent updates have made it slower and bulky. I wonder if my i3 is not enough to run internet on my computer. It gives trouble when I open multiple tabs.
