Setting the screen brightness to a lower level is a good way to save battery on your Android phone, usually if we need to change the display screen brightness to play a game or check your mails then you have to again navigate back to display settings and set brightness level which is really annoying.
Earlier i told you about an Android shortcut to quickly adjust screen brightness from notification bar, its a quick android tip but as i said before it works only on selected Samsung Galaxy S phones. So i found a perfect Android App to control the screen brightness which uses the phones gyroscope or the accelerometer to adjust the screen brightness.
Brightness Motion is an Android App that lets you change the screen brightness of your Android Phone just with a simple motion or shake. It doest matter if your are in an App, checking sms or playing a game, you dont need to quit it, all you have to do is shake your phone once to change the screen brightness. Its really simple.
How to adjust Brightness on Android
Adjusting Brightness – To increase the screen brightness move your device to the right, while to decrease the screen brightness move your device to the left. You will notice that a brightness dialog will appear on screen whenever you shake the device, you can further adjust the brightness by moving the slider with a finger or by using the volume keys on your phone.
Add Brightness Widget to homescreen – For those who prefer a widget add the brightness widget to your homescreen, to change the screen brightness simply tap on the widget. The widget also displays the current brightness level.
The Brightness Motion App can be customized according to users requirement. After installing the app “enable the Motion service from the app options” to take advantage of the move to adjust brightness feature. This Android App proved very useful for me since my phone has a big 4 inch display and i play a lot of games and spend much time using apps. Now i can instantly adjust the screen brightness as and when required which saves me a lot of battery.
